The AMES Carbon Steel Pointed Shovel is ideal for digging and planting in harder, more compact soils. The large capacity pan also helps scoop and move soil and loose materials.
The head is uniquely forged from a single piece of high-quality carbon steel, meaning no weld lines or weak points, for optimal strength and performance. The head includes our innovatively designed Comfort Step foot treads, which are wider and larger, with added grips for secure and comfortable foot placement.
Designed to last, our carbon steel has been specially tempered to withstand greater force without deforming, with a lacquered finish to protect against rust.
The shaft is made from ethically sourced FSC® certified ash wood, complete with an ergonomic D-shaped handle and rubber grip for ultimate comfort. The handle and head connection is double riveted for maximum strength and a secure connection.
