Customer centric innovation
With support from our global partners, we’ve been able to take advantage of product and manufacturing innovations that are already a hit with consumers in the US, Canada, Ireland and Australia. “One example of this is with our carbon steel spade heads, which have been stamped from one piece of material using a uniquely designed AMES mould,” says Caroline.
“Carbon steel is a firm favourite with consumers worldwide”, says Caroline. “Our manufacturing innovations are expected to reposition carbon as the new go-to for consumers who want garden tools that looks great, and costs less but also promises many years of use”.
“This is the first time that carbon has been presented this way and our range is already proving an extremely attractive proposition for garden retailers.”
Unique patents
Having high-quality garden tools that are built to last is paramount. “Already established product patents that help to ensure the quality of AMES Tools is something that we have taken full advantage of” says Caroline.
“The carbon steel collection benefits from unique patents – including Comfort Step™ for digging tools, which is a distinctive foot tread. Meanwhile, our patented Extra-Wide leaf rake speeds up the tedious job of tidying up”.
Proven technical expertise
The carbon steel collection combines traditional materials with expert manufacturing techniques and worldwide technical expertise. Caroline explains more.
“Developing the range has been a worldwide effort, and we’ve benefited from taking the best innovation from our design teams in Australia and America, where AMES brands including Garant, Trojan and Cyclone are market-leading. We have a huge bank of knowledge to tap into as we continue to innovate.”
“We often see that carbon steel versions are seen as the poor relation of stainless-steel tools, or even just copies. We have really focused on how to make our carbon steel range stand out from the crowd. Global technical expertise at crucial design stages helps AMES Tools to plug a gap in the market for high functionality, aesthetically pleasing carbon steel tools.”
